why do we blog?
C.S. Lewis once said that “we read to know we are not alone.” That’s our vision—to provide real life stories and encouragement from other women to remind ourselves we are not alone. We hope this blog will be one where you encounter togetherness--a place where joyful times can be celebrated, trials and sorrows laid bare, and everything in between experienced in shared community.
So whether you’re new to Willowdale, been attending forever or haven’t set foot in church for years, this space is for you. We hope you see yourself in our stories, but ultimately, we hope you see Christ in them, feel made new by His words and be refueled to lift your hearts toward Him.

If there’s any place a woman ought to be able to find love, it’s in a church — at least that’s what we believe. So we aspire to be that church. A church of authentically loving people. A church known more for what it’s for than what it’s against. A church that doesn’t just welcome people in but sends people out to love and serve others. Our mission is to love God, love each other and love the world that Jesus—through his people—is working to restore.
