Coming home at Christmas is often momentous in our house as for many years it has meant someone returning after being far from home. In 2020, Covid separated us from one of our daughters who was in Canada. Last year when she pulled in after driving cross-country to be home for Christmas, we raced to the door singing, “She’s here, she’s here, she’s here!”

It's a very well known fact; among my family and friends that I love school and office supplies.  I really do. I can't remember a time when the sight of back to school items didn't make me a little giddy.  In fact, I can spend hours in office-supply stores exploring and find myself restored by the order of everything.  Perhaps; this love is due to the fact that both my parents were teachers, so the rhythm of my life has always been associated with the school year.  Or maybe it's because there is something so amazing about learning….

Strong Faith, Weak Trust

Have you ever noticed that belief comes far more easily than trust?

I believe a lot of things about God. I know He created the world and sustains it. I believe in Jesus -- that He came to earth, died and rose from the dead so that I can have a relationship with Him. I do not doubt that these things are true. My problem is that, even amidst those strong beliefs, I don’t always trust Him.
